A January Day at the Zoo

That's right.  It was 61 degrees last Saturday, so we headed to the zoo.  As usual on Saturdays, we were having a bit of trouble getting out of our pajamas and actually leaving the house, so we didn't get there until 2:30.  Our zoo membership had expired, so we stood there trying to decide if we should just pay the regular admission, or if would make sense to renew our membership.  We ended up deciding to renew, which we soon learned was a good decision since the zoo was closing at 4:00!  So, we didn't have much time, but these are the shots I got, and we are anxious to go back in the spring.

I spent 4 summers at our local zoo, sort of. My son volunteered for 3 years and then got a paying job for the 4th year and I had to drive him there. (Now that he can drive, does he want to work there anymore? No!) It was fun, though. Your flamingos are so bright and beautiful!

These are amazing. Zoos are the best in cool weather.

I hope you enlarge and frame that picture of Jim and Dylan.
