Me, Me, Me

Well, I got tagged by Jck, for one of those dreaded meme things, but I'm actually happy to do this one. It's the All About Me meme, (maybe that is why I enjoyed it), and it involves linking 5 of my old posts for you to read AGAIN, or hopefully, for the first time. It was fun reading back, and reliving each one. But, geez, asking you to read not one, but five(really six) posts at once, seems like asking a lot, so I won't be wordy - I'll just get right to it.

RULES:

1) Acknowledge the person who tagged you.

2) Tag other blogging SISTUHS and leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have tagged them.

3) Go back through your archives and post the links to five favorite blog posts that you have written.

But there is a catch:
Link 1: must be about family.
Link 2: must be about friends.
Link 3: must be about yourself, who you are… what you’re all about.
Link 4: must be about something you love.
Link 5: can be anything you choose.

1. (Family) - Super Soaker And The Stray - In every family there are the ones you choose(my wonderful husband), and the ones you don't(the stray). Somehow you have to find love for them all.

2. (Friends) - Drive-Thru Preschool - I don't write much about my friends, so I didn't have much to choose from.

3.(Yourself, who you are, what you're about) - Let's All Be Kids- This pretty much sums it up. I'm just a big, goofy kid at heart.

4. (Something you love) - Bats & Birthdays - I love my husband, and I love giving gifts, and making holidays and birthdays special.

5. (Anything) - Just Another Day At The Doctor's Office - This is one of my favorites. Laughter really is the best medicine!

I never follow the rules, so I'm adding one more. If you only look at one of these, this is the one!!
Push It

I'm just gonna tag a few that I don't think have done this yet..Nnah, Nnah, you're it...Sparx, Elsie, and Kellan. I'm looking forward to reading yours!

That little Dylan laughing in that Push It video is unbelievable CUTE!!! I couldn't stop smiling! I love when they get to laughing like that!

Thanks for thinking of me for this meme - I'll try to do it soon. Take care and have a great day Jen - see ya. Kellan

Hey Jen! Thanks for that, I"ll have to have a think. If I don't post right away it's because I'm away for 5 days from Thursday and pretty frantic before that.

I think I'd read all of these except the 9 month doctor one which I'm sorry to say had me in stitches because I have BEEN THERE!! Nice to re-read the others too - take care.

Hi, Jen. Just one of the "other Jens" from Burgh Baby. You so had me at Just Another Day at the Doctor's Office (been there, done that), but after I clicked on Push It, my heart melted. What a lil' cutie you have there. And that laugh. It's too much. So much that I was forced to watch the video about 150 times :)

I am never walking on your deck, just in case you have your Super Soaker in hand. Unless, of course, I have a few bats around. Now that I know that's all it takes to freak you out, I'm all over it. You can expect a few dozen in a box at your doorstep any time now. All I need is an address . . . bwahahaha!

hi, all the post were good. the best was "visit to the doc". i had the same experience. my hubby was down with chicken pox, so had to take Jason alone. Phew!!! had a really hard time. the worst is the give-n-take of money, receipts or thr documents from the bag, while trying not to drop the baby.

Its me again, i kind-off needed an advice from you.
you write so much about reading books to Dylan. i always wanted Jason to love books, cos i love to read a lot. well, all i have got from him till now is, tearing of books or newspapers and happily chewing them.
He is 11 months old, so when should i introduce him to books? and which types of books? Is it the "snow white" or "Cinderella" type. so anything else since he is boy. something about bikes or cars?
i am really confused. i got no support from my hubby regarding this. he reads so that he can fall asleep. can u imagine?
so????

Kellan, I can't believe you didn't get it yet!

Sparx, It is hard to believe that we have been reading each others blogs that long, isn't it? I appreciate it.

Jen, Hi, nice to meet ya! He laughs all the time at home, but then I take him somewhere, and he is all serious!

BBM, Now that you warned me, if I get anything from you, I'm gonna make Jim open it. Then again, with the serious case of mommy brain I am experiencing, I will probably forget this conversation in five minutes.

Lijy, There's no time like the present! I basically surrounded Dylan with books since he was born. There are books in his room, and in our living room that he has access to. Also, we began reading him a few books before naps and at bedtime a looong time ago. At first he wasn't that interested, and he also went through a stage where he just chewed on them, but board books are pretty sturdy and appropriate at this age. Dylan loves books with photographs of things. I think you should try to read to kids, and then just follow their lead. If they aren't interested, try the next day. Good luck!
