Don't You Hate It When

Don't you hate it when you get yourself into a predicament that you can't get out of?

Dylan: "I HATE that".
(Don't you love how after awhile, he decides to just make the best of it! He's got his bottle. What else does he need?)

Don't you hate it when you laugh so hard, you fall over?

Dylan: "That wasn't me. I don't know what you're talking about".
(Everytime he laughs, he gets the hiccups, that crazy kid!)

He has a very contagious laugh. I was watching and both my boys heard and came over and started watching. He is adorable!

He is so adorable - poor baby trapped under the stool - aren't they funny. I have pictures of my little boy under our stool. I loved hearing him laugh - so funny, made me laugh!! Have a good weekend.

I was starting to think you were making it a habit of torturing him just to get funny video (first the couch, now the stool), but then you threw in the laughter video and got your karma all leveled back out. Now if you could make a 10 minute video of Dylan laughing, I would be grateful. Alexis watches him, mesmerized and completely unaware of her surroundings. If I had ten minutes of that, I could get so much done!

I think a baby's laughter is the most contagious thing! While I was watching your video, two of my sons heard it and came running to see what was so funny. When they started laughing my husband came to investigate, then we were all laughing. God bless!

I'm so glad he made all of you laugh! He does seem to have that mesmorizing affect on other kids. Kids are always following him around when we go out. It will be interesting to see if its the helmet that is fascinating, or just Dylan. Maybe I should make a line of dvd's like Baby Einstein - ka-ching! Thanks for reading, everyone.

Hi Jen - love the videos. The spud gets stuck a lot these days, he can't always work out which way he got in to a situation. Love the laughing too, cracks me up when they laugh - great post!

Oh I love it! Too funny seeing him stuck under the stool. And, the laughing- just adorable. I love the sound of a baby laughing.

In response to your question on my blog about using sign language-- I started when Hailey was around 8 months. She did "more" and "milk" first and didn't seem to be picking anything else up. But, right around 12 to 12 1/2 months it was like something clicked and she got it. Since then she's been learning a couple new signs each week. I used a book called Baby Sign Lanuage Basics by Monta Z. Briant. I also use a website (http://www.signwithme.com/002_browse_signs.asp) to look up other words- plus it shows you how to do the signs.

I would say- don't give up- Dylan should start catching on shortly and it's such a great way for him to tell you what he wants.
